All living creatures (humans, animals and plants) require energy to function. When the energy dies, then the living creature dies. For example, to produce sound from a portable radio, it requires batteries which are a form of energy. You put the batteries into the radio, switch it on, tune the station and you have sound, occasionally, the station may become distorted from outside intereference and over a period of time, the batteries will deplete leaving you without sound.

This is similar to all that live. Outside influences may alter the way we go about our daily lives. With this happening, it may leave us feeling not quite ourselves or in certain circumstances, unwell.

The energy inside may be unbalanced. You may notice about yourself the feeling of being run down, suffering from cold symptoms, or just not being your usual self. This is an imbalance of energy within you. Usui Reiki can help improve this.

Working on the seven energy or chakra points within the body, the healer will gently rest their hands onto the chakra points. At this point the feelings you may experience are likely to be coolness or warmth. Whichever you experience this is the power of reiki working within you. With this, the body activates its natural ability to heal itself at the origin of the problem.

The reiki works where it is needed most within the body which allows any blocked energies to be released.
